GAA MANUFACTURING AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
CHALLENGE:
GAA Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management (formerly Global Automotive Alliance) decided to consolidate its five national operations into one location in Detroit. The move would place the minority supplier closer to its main automotive customers and position the company to capitalize on the autonomous movement. The challenge was to demonstrate the impact of this strategic move into an existing facility owned by GAA, without being able to show any financial investment and job growth to automotive/business media and customers.
SOLUTION:
The strategy included a grand opening ceremony to include automotive customers, community partners and dignitaries including Mayor Mike Duggan that showcased the strength and support of GAA in the Detroit community, while illustrating the significance of this initiative to target audiences, including media.
Resulting coverage included Crain’s Detroit Business, Detroit Free Press, Michigan Chronicle and local broadcast media.
